How to add custom topics
The topic pool
Burnish keeps a living pool of article ideas for your store, capped at 50 topics. It fills the pool from your brand, from discovery gaps where AI is not covering you, and from your own ideas. You can add topics of your own at any time.
Adding a topic
On the Articles page, open the Topics tab and choose New topic. Type your idea, up to 200 characters, and add it. Topics you add yourself are pinned, so they are protected and will not be pushed out to make room for others.
How topics become articles
Pooled topics are researched and ranked, then scheduled into drafts. A pinned topic stays a candidate until you schedule or remove it, so the ideas that matter to you are never lost.
Pin the few topics you most want covered. Auto-added topics compete for the remaining slots, but your pinned ones always keep their place.
