Correcting an inaccurate claim
When an assistant gets it wrong
If an AI assistant states something false about your store, you correct it by giving Burnish the right facts, then re-checking. Assistants lean on grounded, authoritative information, so the fix is to make the truth easy to find.
1. Update your manifesto facts
Open your manifesto and correct the relevant fact: your returns policy, shipping times, warranty, contact, legal entity, or any of the others Burnish tracks. These are the ground-truth facts Burnish uses to fact-check what assistants say. Saving takes effect immediately.
2. Re-check your reputation
From the Visibility tab, run an on-demand recheck. Burnish re-asks its reputation questions across the assistants and re-scores accuracy against your corrected facts. Any remaining contradictions show up in the evidence, so you can see exactly what was wrong.
How long it takes
Your corrected facts apply the moment you save. Your Reputation score updates once the recheck finishes, usually within a few minutes. From then on, every measurement uses the corrected facts until you change them again.
Burnish corrects the facts it grounds assistants with, but it does not control the assistants directly. A correction improves how you are measured and described going forward. It is not an instant edit of a third-party model.
