Set up Burnish in 5 steps

The fast path

This is the quickest route from install to a working AI Commerce Index. It takes a few minutes. Each step links to a fuller guide if you want the detail.

1. Install and grant access. Add Burnish from the Shopify App Store and approve the access it asks for. See Install Burnish on your store.
2. Confirm AI provider consent. Burnish needs your okay to query the AI assistants on your behalf. You are prompted for this during onboarding.
3. Run your first scan. This measures your catalog and how the assistants answer about you. Readiness appears first, then visibility. See Run your first scan.
4. Build your manifesto. Tell Burnish who you are and the facts you want repeated. This single input powers discovery, reputation, and articles. See Why your manifesto matters most.
5. Approve your first fix. Review a suggested change, publish it to your catalog, and watch your score respond. See Approve your first fix.
